Avs are going to be a dumpster fire again. Duchenne is not worth a top 4 D, top 6 forward and a first. He will stay with the Avs and continue to suck and lose value while the Avs continue to do nothing to fix the issues. Sakic is as big of a joke as a GM as Roy was as a coach.

Heard the offer Sakic turned down from Isles .. Wow - If that isn't going to get it done ... I don't know what will - I thought a top 4 D man and a 1st rounder + a high end prospect would get the deal done but evidently not -

Sakic is doing a great job at waiting for the right deal. He doesn't have to fire sale anybody. In the matter of fact, he should give Duchene a contact extension and get him a great winger to play with. This team is better with Duchene than with Hamonic or Murray sorry guys. Avs should trade Barrie instead, for a shut down defenceman. With a healthy Zadorov, and with Bigras, Mironov, Compher, jost and Siemens coming up, this team will be ok .

Sakic was a great player but he looks to be a poop GM. His asking price for Duchene is as if the guy was elite. It really looks like Sakic is going to make the Avs like the Edmonton Oilers pre Mcdavid the way he is running the team.

Sakic keeps upping his trade demand for duchene that's what. Isles offered their 1st, dal colle, and hamonic. But sakic wanted another roster player, and it apparently was nelson. Sakic acting like he's trading evgeni malkin asking for a kings ransom.

Duchene wants out. It's too late to keep him as the relationship is severed. Only way you keep Duchene is if management gets fired.

Maybe try and get a couple firsts I guess. If I'm Sakic I'd try and have a sit down and reconcile. I wonder if my yotes might make a good trading partner
